Controls and parameters
Labels and units follow the controls in the app. The instrument, model, or mode can change which controls are visible.
| Control | Displayed range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Drive | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | How strongly an effect is pushed into nonlinear response or saturation. |
| Presence | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | A high-frequency character control whose behavior depends on the amplifier design. |
| Resonance | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | Low-frequency or feedback-like response voicing in the power-amp model. |
| Sag | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | Envelope-compression character inspired by changes in an amp's power supply. |
| Level | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | The strength of a signal at a point, or a control that changes it. |
Model options
Effect models
A firm power-stage character with generous headroom.
Gentle compression with warm harmonics.
Energetic mids with lively breakup.
A tight attack with ample headroom.
What is this effect for?
Adds power-stage saturation character with Presence, Resonance, and Sag.
Try listening
Try it after a preamp-only capture and before a cabinet. Compare models, then change Drive and Sag with hard and moderate picking.
Things to watch
A complete amp may already include power-stage character. Current is an original model; this additional block is optional.
Open the definition on a control label to understand its function. The same label can mean different things in different effects. Compare the active and bypassed sound at similar levels.
