Chorus mixes in a moving, delayed copy to suggest a double. Vibrato moves pitch; at full wet, that pitch movement is clearer, while a dry mix can become chorus-like. Flanger uses a very short moving delay to create comb filtering. Phaser moves notches through phase processing. Rate sets speed, Depth sets the amount of change, Feedback emphasizes movement or resonance, and Blend sets the mix.
Tremolo changes amplitude rather than pitch, with Shape ranging from gentle to chopped. Rotary creates a rotating character through modulation and stereo. Auto Pan moves level between left and right. Spread changes side relative to mid in stereo that already exists; it does not suddenly create new stereo information from a mono signal. Bass Focus limits low-end width. Check mono too, so important material is not lost when a PA or speaker combines channels.
Ring Mod multiplies the signal by an oscillator. Its sum/difference components may not be harmonic with the fundamental. Modulation effects are not all identical, and a Rate in Hz is not necessarily the guitar note's pitch frequency.
