Echo Pattern

Creative Delay

Create rhythmic multi-tap echoes or reverse textures.

Controls and parameters

Labels and units follow the controls in the app. The instrument, model, or mode can change which controls are visible.

ControlDisplayed rangeMeaning
Mode0 – 1A repetition of the signal after a time interval.
Tempo sync0 – 1The number of reference beats per minute.
Division0 – 4A division of beat time used for an effect's rhythm.Only active when Tempo sync is On; follows the rig BPM.
Time40 – 2000 msA repetition of the signal after a time interval.Only active when Tempo sync is Off; adjusts the base period manually.
Feedback0 – 85 %A signal fed back into a process's input.
Blend0 – 100 %The balance between the original signal and the processed signal.
Tone0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value.A clear or bright quality related to the distribution of highs and upper mids.
Ducking0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value.Reducing the wet effect level while a stronger triggering signal is present.
Trails0 – 1A signal fed back into a process's input.

What is this effect for?

Create rhythmic multi-tap echoes or reverse textures.

Try listening

Choose Multi-tap or Reverse. Tempo sync Off uses manual Time. On follows the rig BPM and Division: 1/4, 1/8, 1/8 dotted, 1/8 triplet, or 1/16. Set Feedback, Blend, Tone, and Ducking. Trails keeps the earlier wet tail after bypass while stopping new wet input.

Tempo and actual tap times

The base period is bounded to 40–2000 ms in either timing mode. The left taps use 0.75/1/1.5/2 times that period; each right tap adds 0.04 times the period. With a 500 ms base period, the left repeats are 375/500/750/1000 ms. The Taps readout shows these actual left-channel times. Reverse window shows the base window length, rather than total latency.

Things to watch

Reverse collects audio first; dry playing stays immediate. Time is active only with Tempo sync Off; Division is active only with sync On. Keep feedback moderate and check tail behavior and headroom.
