True peak

An estimate of the reconstructed waveform's peaks between samples.

What does it mean?

True peak can exceed sample peak. Guard is currently not a true-peak limiter. A simple interpolation demonstration must not be presented as a standards-based true-peak meter.

ExampleA safe sample peak does not guarantee the DAC will avoid intersample overshoot.
