First, listen to DI and set up the input. Second, compare Boost without clipping. Third, set a compressor using the same phrase. Fourth, compare drive at matched output levels. Fifth, change the amp while keeping the cab fixed, then change the cab with a fixed amp. Sixth, change one EQ band. Seventh, add one modulation effect and check mono. Eighth, set Delay/Reverb in the context of a song. Finally, practice presets, scenes, MIDI, and recovering from setup problems.
