Practice, looper, and Record

Practice with backing, create loops, and save clean DI alongside the processed rig.

Practice & Record opens local backing files. Use play, pause, stop, seek, and loop A/B to repeat a song section. Adjust backing level separately from the instrument. Pitch-preserving tempo changes need preparation before the result is ready to play.

Session looper

Record captures the first performance. Play runs the loop, Overdub adds new playing on top, Stop stops playback, and Clear removes the loop. When footswitch looper mode is active, some switches change their roles to looper control. Turn that mode off to return to preset control.

Record clean DI and rig

  1. Check the instrument input and the preset you are using.
  2. Select Record clean DI + rig.
  3. Choose a 20-, 60-, or 120-second duration.
  4. Play the part you want to compare.
  5. Stop early if it is long enough.
  6. Save the files and note the pickup, interface gain, and rig settings.

Clean DI captures the raw selected input before Noise Reduction, Trim, EQ, and pedals. The rig recording stores the processed stereo output. Backing and click are excluded from this recording pair. Both files help evaluate the same performance.

Save a recording

If saving fails, Retry keeps the audio still held in memory. Finish saving before closing the app. Existing installations may retain their previous recording folder name; recordings already saved there remain usable.
