Dry

The signal before the particular effect being discussed.

What does it mean?

Dry can mean raw ADC input or a pedal's input; specify the tap point. Dry does not mean clean: a pedal's input may already be distorted by an earlier block.

ExampleA DI recording before Trim differs from the dry signal at a reverb after the amp.
