Model options

Effect models

Vowel Manual Wah

A filter sweep controlled by an expression pedal or knob.

Vowel Auto Wah

A filter sweep that follows playing dynamics.

What is this effect for?

Sweeps a resonant filter manually or in response to picking dynamics.

Try listening

In Manual Wah, move Position slowly or connect an expression pedal. In Auto Wah, pick softly and hard while adjusting Sensitivity. Set Q and Blend.

Things to watch

Position is active only in Manual Wah; Sensitivity is active only in Auto Wah. A MIDI mapping does not activate a control that the current mode has disabled.

Open the definition on a control label to understand its function. The same label can mean different things in different effects. Compare the active and bypassed sound at similar levels.
