Controls and parameters
Labels and units follow the controls in the app. The instrument, model, or mode can change which controls are visible.
| Control | Displayed range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Drive | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | How strongly an effect is pushed into nonlinear response or saturation. |
| Tone | 0 – 10Control scale 0–10; not a distortion percentage or a dB value. | A clear or bright quality related to the distribution of highs and upper mids. |
| Blend | 0 – 100 % | The balance between the original signal and the processed signal. |
What is this effect for?
Adds harmonic density and tape character with a dry blend.
Try listening
Test Drive on clean chords or lead with full Blend. Match output levels, then choose the final Blend.
Things to watch
Tape Saturation does not create echoes like Echo Tape. A darker or brighter character does not prove that a particular tape machine is being replicated.
Open the definition on a control label to understand its function. The same label can mean different things in different effects. Compare the active and bypassed sound at similar levels.
