Controls and parameters
Labels and units follow the controls in the app. The instrument, model, or mode can change which controls are visible.
| Control | Displayed range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 100 Hz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| 250 Hz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| 630 Hz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| 1.6 kHz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| 4 kHz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| 8 kHz | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Graphic 6 model only. |
| Low shelf | -12 – 12 dB | A filter that broadly changes level on one side of a frequency.Studio Parametric model only. |
| Mid freq | 200 – 5000 Hz | The number of cycles per second, measured in hertz.Studio Parametric model only. |
| Mid gain | -12 – 12 dB | Boost or cut applied to a filter band.Studio Parametric model only. |
| Mid Q | 0.2 – 5 | A measure of a filter's sharpness or bandwidth.Studio Parametric model only. |
| High shelf | -12 – 12 dB | A filter that broadly changes level on one side of a frequency.Studio Parametric model only. |
| Level | -12 – 12 dB | The strength of a signal at a point, or a control that changes it.Studio Parametric or Tilt model. |
| Tilt | -12 – 12 dB | Balancing low and high frequencies around a pivot.Tilt model only. |
| Pivot | 250 – 2500 Hz | The reference frequency around which a Tilt EQ changes direction.Tilt model only. |
| Low cut | 20 – 250 Hz | A filter that attenuates lower frequencies while passing higher ones.Tilt model only. |
| High cut | 2500 – 20000 Hz | A filter that attenuates higher frequencies while passing lower ones.Tilt model only. |
Model options
Effect models
Six fixed bands for quick EQ shaping.
Low/high shelves with a focused parametric mid band.
A broad tilt balance with low cut and high cut.
What is this effect for?
Shapes the frequency balance with Graphic 6, Studio Parametric, or Tilt.
Try listening
Match the active and bypassed levels. Change one band first. In Studio Parametric, try Mid frequency and Q; in Tilt, compare Pivot and the cuts. Check Peak after boosting.
Things to watch
Controls follow the selected model. Graphic 6 has no separate Level control. An EQ curve shows the filter change, rather than the frequency content of the input signal.
Open the definition on a control label to understand its function. The same label can mean different things in different effects. Compare the active and bypassed sound at similar levels.
