Model options

Effect models

Forge Distortion (Legacy)

Forge High Gain

Heavier, tighter multistage distortion.

Forge Smooth Lead

Multistage saturation with smooth, focused high frequencies.

What is this effect for?

Creates dense distortion with classic, High Gain, or Smooth Lead characters.

Try listening

Compare the three models with the same DI recording and output level. Test a sustained single note, a lead phrase, and chords. Adjust Drive, then Tone; balance Level before pushing the next stage.

Things to watch

Maximum Drive does not mean that every sample is always clipped. Excessive Level can overload the next amp or capture even when the pedal texture itself is suitable.

Open the definition on a control label to understand its function. The same label can mean different things in different effects. Compare the active and bypassed sound at similar levels.
